This ministry started in the year 2005 when a group of youths from different community came together to discuss about the matters ing youths. We realized that young people have a great responsibility in Country, Community as well as Churches today. We also appreciate d the existence of department of youth in the ministry and other non-governmental Organization that are working together for development of the youth to make them responsible in purpose and visions.
The springs of Hope as the name suggest, is a group made up of nine members which are working together as a team for the purpose of providing home based car,teaching,encouraging and advocating about HIV and AIDS awareness in the community at large.
Objectives.
To create HIV/AIDS awareness among the youths.
To create drug abuse awareness.
To encourage and give the home based care to the people deadly infected.
To feed the most needy infected families.
To reason for advocating on above mentioned issues was most of the youths are dying AID related cases, but no one would dare talk the truth, the young people who are dying of HIV/AIDS are said to have died of TB,malaria typhoid e.t.c and therefore we realized we had to tell the community the truth of the matter, therefore we formed the group the Spring of Hope with the stronger shout NO to AIDS and Drugs.
Strategies we use
1. Organizing HIV/AIDS dramatizing in churches, in primary and secondary schs.
2. Training peer groups and youth leaders.
3. Using poems and songs.
4. Showing HIV/AIDS videos.
5. Engaging in sports
Since 2005 to 2008 we have created the HIV/AIDS awareness at least 40% of the youths in kijabe town ,Mai-mahiu Centre, Longonot, Suswa and Karima.Throughout our mission we have tried our best to educate most of the youth on how the HIV/AIDS is spread or transmitted, prevention measurers and living a hopeful life if affected and taking ARV drugs and have also shown to help.
Current status we have not been able to fully display the techniques of showing video in school, churches, etc due to lack of resources, We lack support and the sufficient training, we have also great number of infected people which include 18 families and 40 children who are either affected or infected.
The other problem the group is facing is food for feeding the most needy because we have been relying with people of good will missionary through their donations and due to the economy arises quite a number have withdrawn.
We are therefore kindly requesting your intervention on the above-mentioned problems so that we can continue to care encourage and support for God glory.

This is a report of how Margaret Njoki currently 2 student in Ngeya Primary School benefited and is still receiving assistance from Springs of Hope Project. This questionnaire form of research on the program of our project take a random pattern mode of selection where we randomly select any of the children that the project to actually try to find out the reception, change, and motive by which these children get into once they get this chance.

Margaret admits she first took a downfall when she dropped from school but she is so happy today that she got back to school and gets something to put in her month and actually find joy again living with her beloved family through the tireless help from Springs of Hope. Today Margaret’s family received a portion of food from Springs of Hope, being Margaret’s support and to add on that, there is a special program that clothes their people.
